Agriculture, Aquaculture & Climate Change
Building resilient farming, fisheries, and climate adaptation strategies for rural communities through improved techniques, sustainable aquaculture, drought-resistant crops, and responsible land and water management.
META Foundation's Agriculture, Aquaculture & Climate Change program focuses on building resilient farming, fisheries, and climate adaptation strategies for rural communities in Northern Ghana.
We support smallholder farmers and fishing communities with improved agricultural techniques, sustainable aquaculture practices, drought-resistant crop varieties, and sustainable land and water management. Our interventions include farmer field schools, demonstration farms, fish farming and fisheries livelihood activities, and community-based adaptation planning.
Through partnerships with IFDC, AICCRA, MOFA, and other organizations, we promote climate-smart agriculture and fisheries activities that increase productivity, diversify livelihoods, and reduce environmental impact.
